Write a statement proposing how you might align one or more of your professional development goals with the University’s emphasis on social change.
Social Change
Walden University defines positive social change as a deliberate process of creating and applying ideas, strategies, and actions to promote the worth, dignity, and development of individuals, communities, organizations, institutions, cultures, and societies. Positive social change results in the improvement of human and social conditions.

Workers can master these abilities through professional development to become better, more efficient workers.
While job training is an important component of professional development, this term encompasses all forms of education and learning aimed at assisting a worker’s success.
College studies, online training programs, industry certifications, coaching, mentorship, and consultancy are all forms of professional development.

Professional development can benefit employers in a variety of ways.
For starters, it encourages increased staff retention.
Employee turnover costs up to 16 percent of an employee’s annual salary, according to statistics.
This indicates that if an employee earns $100,000 per year, quitting will cost the company $16,000.
Employers who provide professional growth, on the other hand, will urge employees to stay with their company.
Professional growth also demonstrates the employer’s competence.
Certifications are genuinely required in several sectors.
